Kimball Lions hold awards banquet

The Kimball Lions held their annual awards banquet for the past year Monday, March 19, at Powder Ridge. Lion's 5M8 governor Sandy Sandwick attended, as well as past district governor Bill Landwehr and first vice district governor Donna Landwehr.

Governor Sandy handed out three "Governor's" pins. Receiving the pins were Gary Vossen, Carly Serbus, and Dan Konz. Governor Sandy also presented a "Club Growth" pin for membership growth to the club. Accepting it was past president Gary Vossen.

Perfect attendance pins were awarded to: Larry Blum, Roger Cooper, Ross Dickie, Duane Finger, Gene Gohmann, Carl Hoffman, Lois Jensen, Doug Knaus, Ken Knaus, Mary Knaus, Dan Konz, Brian Kuechle, Ben Lutgen, Dave Mackereth, Dean Mozena, Carly Serbus, Gary Vossen, and Dave Wysoski.

Membership pins were handed out for membership milestones. Receiving those pins were: five-year membership Brian Becker and Erik Widvey; 10-year membership Wayne Mackereth; 15-year membership Dave Wysoski, and 25-year membership went to Keith Markwardt who also received a 25-year Monarch Chevron.

Past officer pins went to Gary Vossen for past president and Carly Serbus for past secretary. Club Membership Key award went to Doug Knaus.

The Kimball Lions also got to give out two Top Dog awards for the year from Can Do Canines. This year the awards were presented to Carly Serbus and Ken Knaus.

The Club would like to Congratulate Duane Finger as being selected for the 5M8 second vice district governor position next year.

Your Kimball Lions currently have 54 members. Meetings are held the third Monday of every month at the Kimball Lions Shelter. New members are always welcome!
