SPECIAL MEETING Board of Education November 10, 2010 Ind. School District 739 Kimball, MN

The meeting was called to order by chair Helgeson at 6:00 p.m. with all members present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all in attendance.

Superintendent Tritabaugh shared the election results as provided by Stearns and Meeker County Auditors. Member Zipoy moved the adoption of the Resolution Canvassing Returns of School District Special Election, Member Gagnon seconded the motion. Upon roll call vote, Dockery, Zipoy, Helgeson, Gagnon, Schreiner, and Stenger voted in favor, no one voted against, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

The superintendent shared a proposed timeline for implementing an Improvement Plan, or a plan laying out how the newly generated funds will be spent to ensure that the funds are spent prudently. The board was reminded that these funds are not available for this current school year, but planning can certainly occur so that we can move forward with any necessary work over the summer months, or so that program implementation is ready to go well in advance of the beginning of next school year.

Information regarding a detachment request was provided to the board. This item will possibly be brought up at the regular meeting on November 17th.

The board made plans to hold a pot-luck gathering at Willow Creek shelter on Monday, November 22, at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate with the levy committee and thank them for their work in the success of passing both levy questions.

Motion by Schreiner, seconded by Gagnon to adjourn at 6:54 p.m.

Robin Dockery, Clerk
