The Kimball Area Fire and Rescue Department is now accepting applications for employment. Interested community members should contact John Gohmann or a current department member.

Applicants are required to live in the Kimball fire district or work a forty (40) hour work week within the city limits and be able to respond to calls during working hours. Selected candidates must be 18 years of age and have a valid Minnesota class "C" driver's license. They will undergo a background check, oral interview, and physical agility test. Successful candidates will receive training as a firefighter and first responder.

The Kimball Area Fire and Rescue Department was established in 1917 and serves the city of Kimball and parts of Maine Prairie, Kingston, and Fairhaven townships. The department members respond to an average of 130 calls per year.
