The Kimball Cubs took on the third-ranked Eagles of Eden Valley-Watkins. The Eagles showed from play one why they were ranked that highly in state. They made quick work of the Cubs who were undermanned on this special night for five special people to be inducted into the KAHS 2010 Hall of Fame The game ended with the Eagles winning the game 6 to 42. The Eagles took a 0 to 42 halftime lead; the young Cubs seem to always be one step away from making some big plays.
The offense was led by junior quarterback Aaron Laabs, who threw for 78 yards with many passes falling just short of completions. Senior tight end Filzen led the receivers with 56 yards. The young line protected Laabs very well this night. The defense was led by senior defensive tackle Mitch Pramann, who had three sacks and many tackles for loss in the game.
The Cubs travel to Howard Lake in search of that first win of the season. Thank you for supporting the Cubs. Congrats to all the people inducted into the Hall of Fame.
