Kris Neisen, formerly of Watkins, died accidentally Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at his Eagan home.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Rev. John Brunner and Rev. Richard Gross concelebrating. Interment followed at the St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitors called from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church in Watkins. Parish prayers and memory sharing was at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Kris M. Neisen was born April 6, 1977, in Litchfield to Don and Jean Neisen. He graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School in 1995. He lived in Eagan where he worked as a carpet installer. Kris enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His hobbies included golfing, playing cards, and attending concerts. He also was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.
Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother Scott Neisen in 1976.
He is survived by his parents Don and Jean Neisen of Watkins; brother Jamie (and Melissa) Neisen of Medina; sisters Tammy Neisen of Eagan, Missy Neisen (and special friend Louis Levilain) of St. Cloud; nephews Lucas and Caleb Neisen; and aunts and uncles.
Music was provided by Kathy Pauls. Honorary pall bearers were Eric Fritz, Grant Erickson, jason Kmetz, Greg Kmetz, Andy Meyer, John Paul, Michael McGuire, Justin Stattman, Scott Strohmeier, Mike Mathies, Pat Arnold, Brad Kerzman, and Dan Mackedanz. Arrangements were by Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins.
