Mies burglar alarm set off

Friday, June 6, at 2:25 a.m., Watkins Police Chief Jason Elmore responded to a burglary alarm at Mies Outland Inc. in the city of Watkins. While searching the property, two males suspects left the immediate area in a red 1992 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle led Chief Elmore east on Highway 55, where he eventually stopped the vehicle near CSAH 17. The two male occupants were arrested and are being held at the Meeker County Jail. Officers and deputies from Eden Valley Police Department, Kimball Police Department and Meeker County Sheriff's Department assisted in the arrest.
