Thousands of Midwest cancer survivors, their families and friends will unite to celebrate life during the upcoming 21st annual National Cancer Survivors Day celebration Sunday, June 1. National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual worldwide celebration that is held in more than 700 communities throughout the United States and Canada. The statewide event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the Mayo Clinic Cancer center. Survivors Day provides an opportunity for cancer survivors to connect with newly diagnosed cancer survivors, and reunite with medical staff and famlies they've met along the way. They also get the chance to meet the many long-term survivors expected to attend. Relay for Life reunion events in the area include: Relay For Life of St. Cloud State University and Relay For Life of Greater St. Cloud, noon, June 1, Trobec's Event Center, St. Joseph; Relay For Life of Cold Spring, noon, June 6, ROCORI High School; and Relay For Life of Delano, 5 p.m., July 12, Light of Christ Church, Delano.
