National Agriculture Week

National Agriculture Week is observed each year during the week with the first day of spring which is Thursday, March 20, this year. Farmers have been getting ready for the spring planting season starting already with fall tillage - and then later considering orders for seed, fertilizer and other crop inputs. As we move toward the end of March, farmers continue to shift gears from working at the task of getting through the winter to getting ready for the spring planting season. This is a good time of year to offer a word of thanks and encouragement to farmers and agribusiness workers for all their efforts to start another season of growing food, fiber, and fuel for another year. We all have a reason to hope it goes well. U of M Extension Service
