'Women's Health 101'

CentraCare Health System presents the seventh annual Women's Health 101 from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the CentraCare Health Plaza, 1900 CentraCare Circle, St. Cloud. Registration is at the River entrance; no pre-registration is necessary. The event is sponsored, in part, by Among Women Magazine, Mix 94.9 and St. Cloud Times. Participants will receive health screenings, attend presentations and visit educational booths for free, but are encouraged to give a $5 donation for Women's Health education. Participants can come and go as they please. Breakfast/lunch is available from the Health Plaza Cafe. The schedule of events includes: 8 a.m. registration and free health screenings begin (glucose, cholesterol, hemoglobin, body composition, depression, sleep, stroke, blood oxygen level, balance, hearing, vision, breathing) - limited to the first 275; 8 a.m.-1 p.m. educational booths; 9 a.m.-1 p.m. cardiac risk assessment and blood pressure checks; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. one-hour presentations on a variety of health-reglated topics of interest to women, including food myths, stress, health maintenance, midlife sexuality, addiction, caregiving, restless leg syndrome, diabetes, exercise, aging and health issues, digestive concerns, health care directives, estate planning, meditation and skin care.
