Deployed military personnel and their spouses can receive free tax preparation by certified public accountants (CPAs). This service is being offered in cooperation with the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and the Minnesota National Guard Family Programs. Deployed military personnel in all branches who are residents of Minnesota qualify for free state and federal individual income tax return preparation for 2007. Service members, spouses or family members can call the Minnesota National Guard Family Programs at (651) 268-8200 or
(888) 234-1274 to use the service. The MNCPA is part of the national 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy campaign to help Americans improve their financial literacy.
