Help out at the Salvation Army Food Shelf

The Salvation Army works to provide relief to those most in need of assistance. Volunteers are needed at their food shelf. Responsibilities include making up orders for customers as well as stocking shelves when food comes in. Shifts are available Monday through Thursday in the morning and the afternoon. Volunteers are asked to commit to one shift a week.

Be a Nurse Ambassador

Are you currently a nurse or retired from a career in nursing? Nurse Ambassadors are needed at St. Cloud Hospital 10 am-2 pm Monday through Friday. Volunteers are asked to commit to one shift per week. Volunteers do purposeful rounding with patients on Medical and Oncology units to ensure a comfortable and satisfying stay. Rounding will include asking questions regarding specific patient satisfaction indicators for the Medical and Oncology units. This supportive service provides practical and personal information that the patient and/or family members need to know during their hospital stay. The program is designed to help patients express their concerns, needs, questions, complaints and suggestions.

Volunteer at Expressions of Hope

Expressions of Hope is a thrift store run by Place of Hope Ministries. They need volunteers to help the thrift store in various capacities. Shifts are available Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m.Ð5 p.m.

and Fridays from 9 a.m.Ð2 p.m.

Like to drive trucks?

Salvation Army provides many different services for those who are in need. They are looking for a volunteer truck driver. The volunteer would drive the Salvation Army's truck to pick up and drop off deliveries. It is an on-call position, and the volunteer must have a health card.

Needed: A talent for building

Rural Stearns Faith in Action is a program dedicated to neighbors giving back to neighbors, working primarily with seniors and those in difficult living situations. They are looking for someone who is interested in building ramps throughout the Stearns County area. An application must be filled out with Rural Stearns Faith in Action, and a background check must be done as well.

C.R.O.S.S. Center of Benton County needs your help!

The C.R.O.S.S. Center, located in Foley, is a food shelf for the residents of Benton County and also has used clothing available at no charge. C.R.O.S.S. Center is looking for a volunteer to help with the food shelf. The food shelf is open Monday from 1-4 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.Ð3 p.m. Food donations are always welcome.
