Girls' golfers finish fourth, advance one to state

Congratulations to the K-EV-Wgirls' golf team. Out of a field of 15 teams in Section 5-2A, the Kimball team, consisting of Erin Dingmann, Paiten Schreiner, Kelly Mackereth, and Chelsey Maus finished in fourth place. Only four teams moved on to the second day of competition at the Crow River Country Club in Hutchinson, with K-EV-W finding themselves trailing Becker by six strokes, and tied for second place with Hutchinson after the first day. This was a tremendous accomplishment and a great experience for the girls. Though they fell short in their effort to go to state as a team, they are to be congratulated on their magnificent showing in the Section 5-2A golf tournament

Congratulations to Erin Dingmann. Erin qualified for the Class 2A State Girls' Golf Tournament with a third-place finish at the two-day Section 5-2A tournament at the Crow River Country Club in Hutchinson last week. She put together rounds of 81-83 for a score of 174. One team and five individuals move on to state from each section. The State Class 2A golf tournament will be held June 16 and 17 at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. Good luck at state, Erin.
