The Track team competed in the Central Minnesota Conference meet held at Pierz Tuesday, May 18. The girls took first place as a team, and the boys' team placed fourth.
The girls' team had several first-place finishers: Shawney Kramer in the shot put and discus, Molly Hesse in the 400 meter dash, Larissa Anthofer in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run, Macki Nelson in pole vault, and the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 meter relay teams took first place. There were also several second-place finishers: Brittany Hesse in the 400 meter dash, Tiffany Kuechle in the 100 meter hurdles, Nathan McCann in the 110 meter hurdles, Danny Lochen in pole vault, and the boys' 4x100, 4x200 meter relay teams took second place.
There were preliminary races in some events, the top eight finishers moved on to the finals in these events.
The girls' team scores were; 1. Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball 166, 2. Maple Lake 149, 3. Pierz Healy 124.5, 4. Holdingford 115, 5. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 38.5; 6. Rockford 38, 6. Howard-Lake-Waverly-Winsted 38.
The boys' team scores were; 1. Maple Lake 164, 2. Pierz Healy 156, 3. Holdingford 84.5, 4. Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball 74.5, 5. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 66, 5. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 66, 7. Rockford 56.
