The KAHS Prom is planned for Saturday, May 22. The theme is Candyland in Kimball.
Photographing will begin at 6 p.m. with the Grand March at 7 p.m. The dance will be from 8-midnight.
The Grand March and dance area will be decorated to look like the Candyland board game.
The public is invited to attend the Grand March at no charge. Fundraising for the Prom was done by selling concessions at winter events.
There will be a Candy Room filled with candy, desserts, a chocolate fountain, punch and pop for the prom attendees. The candy buffet is being designed by Rose Borman, and the punch is by Sue Maus.
Supplies were purchased from local businesses, including Gohmann'sFoods for all the pop. Cold Spring Bakery is delivering the cupcakes, brownies, and bars to Gohmann's. Images by Marguerite is taking the pictures, and each prom attendee will receive a souvenir valued at $8 for a free 5x7 and two wallet-sized photos.
Chickadee Floral is making the balloon bouquets and has been invited to sell flowers to students at lunch.
Prom is advised by Nancy Bonnifield. The prom committee includes Natalie Stein, Jessica Dahle, Stacy Gregory, Kayla Myers, Abby Borman, Abby Konz, Heidi Lochen, Emily Mansicka, Chelsey Lamm, Julia Messer, Klarissa Eisenbraun, Crystal Lahr, Melody Rose, and Brandi Tessmer.
An emphasis has been placed on local businesses being the suppliers for this year's prom.
