Kimball Kruisers meet

Aaahhh. The sweet smell of victory. The Kimball Kruisers (at their April monthly meeting April 6) were proud to announce that they had taken first place at Share-the-Fun. Their Share-the-Fun skit was entitled "A Look into the Past 4-H Style". The skit consisted of different eras of time in which they showed how 4-H played roles in many different people's lives. Participating in Share-the-Fun were: Cora Gohmann, Casey Gohmann, Olivia Fischer, Chelsey Maus, Jenna Maus, Travis Schiefelbein, Zack Schiefelbein, Bailee Schiefelbein, Shelby Schiefelbein, Luke Schiefelbein, Abbey Schiefelbein, Andi Schiefelbein, Payton Schiefelbein, and Kari Schiefelbein. They will now move on to perform their skit at the State Fair. Congratulations. The Kimball Kruisers have been doing very well in their competitions. On April 6, 4-Hers participated in Performing Arts where they either played instruments, sang songs, or gave speeches. Travis Schiefelbein, Andi Schiefelbein, Jenna Maus, and Chelsey Maus participated in it from the Kimball Kruisers. Andi received second in her age group and Chelsey received first in her age group. 4-Hers, including Ashley Schiefelbein, Andi Schiefelbein, Bailee Schiefelbein, Abbey Schiefelbein, Shelby Schiefelbein, Payton Schiefelbein, Jenna Maus, and Chelsey Maus, participated in Food Review/Demonstration Day March 29. For Food Review, you prepare a dish and present it for the judges. You make a whole place setting and must be knowledgeable about your food. For   Demonstrations you demonstrate how to do something. Ashley received first in her age group for Food Review; Shelby received second in her age group for Food Review and Demonstrations; Andi received first in her age group for Demonstrations. Way to go guys. The Kimball Kruisers are trying to do all they can to help out in the community. They are planning on visiting the elderly, making place settings for Senior Dining, handing out trees to the elementary students on Arbor Day, and cleaning up trash in Willow Creek Park. The Kimball Kruisers next meeting will be May 4 at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Hope to see you there. Chelsey Maus reporter
