Kimball Fire & Rescue is proud to announce that the recipient of the 2007 Kimball Fire & Rescue Chief's Award is Ronnie Rose of Kimball. Ronnie responded to 27 fire and 57 rescue calls for a total of 84 calls in 2007. Ronnie has been very involved in the department since joining in October 2004 and has completed her training to become certified as an EMT in 2007. We congratulate Ronnie on this accomplishment. Ronnie was presented the second annual Chief's Award at the fire department's Christmas party in January. The award was presented by past chief Tom Ehlinger. The recipient of the Chief's Award is determined by the chief and the two assistant chiefs. In order for a member to qualify for the award they must be in the top 25 percent of the membership in the number of fire and rescue calls made for the year. Many other factors are also included in evaluating who would receive the award including; attendance of fire and rescue trainings, volunteering at fundraisers and community events, being a team player, taking part in extra committees, and taking on extra projects.
