Residents can no longer go to the Work Force Center, located in the St. Cloud Technical College Building, to apply for Stearns County financial services.

All Stearns County Human Services staff has moved from the Work Force Center to the downtown County campus. Anyone looking for any financial services through Human Services needs to go to the Stearns County Administration Center.

Seventeen people moved from the Work Force Center to downtown. The move took place in an effort to consolidate and centralize services for clients, and to maximize efficiencies in the County's workflow processes.

"This will really unify financial resources in one location," said Janet Goligowski, Human Services Gateway Division Director. "Often times a person's needs change; therefore, their program needs change as well.Ê Rather than sending clients to two different locations for assistance, they can get everything they need right here.Ê These folks already face barriers, and having one central area where they apply for services will minimize the impact on them."

Letters were sent to clients affected by the move. Signs were put out at the Work Force Center as well, letting people know about the move.

Clients looking to apply for financial services should go to the second floor of the County Administration Center. Any questions can be directed to Stearns County Human Services at (320) 656-6000.
