The Stearns-Benton Child Care Association has begun accepting nominees for this year's Child Care Provider of the Year. Fellow providers, users of licensed family child care, spouses, family members, neighbors, and friends, may submit nominations through Monday, March 5.
To qualify, a nominee must be a resident of Benton or Stearns County currently operating a licensed family child care business. Nominees must have been a licensed child care provider for a minimum of 3 years and plan on maintaining that business for at least 2 more years. An active role in the child care community (schools, scouts, church, SBCCA, ECFE, etc) is expected. No substantiated or pending negative licensing actions are allowed, and nominees may not have been chosen for the award in the last
Nominees receive a certificate of nomination, public appreciation, peer recognition at the award banquet, and recognition of their dedication to serving children and their community while building their own sustainable business. The award winner will also receive an engraved plaque, presented at the SBCCA Provider Appreciation Banquet and many other expressions of appreciation from SBCCA, their clients, their child care peers, and their community.

. The nominating committee will choose one Provider of the Year from Stearns County, and one from Benton County. Recipients will be announced at the SBCCA meeting on March 13th.
