Cubs Varsity Baseball traveled to Maple Lake for a cmc game against the Irish and luck was not with the Cubs. Kimball committed six errors in the game, three in the first inning, which allowed Maple Lake get a big lead early. Kimball did pull back within two, but walks and errors helped the Irish 10-run rule the Cubs. Kimball record: 4-4 Overall and CMC. Cubs loses pair at Pierz Kimball traveled to Pierz for a CMC double header, one of the games was a continuation of a rain out. In the continued game Kimball was behind by 4 in the 3rd inning. Pierz came out and piled on the runs as Kimball concieded the loss. In the second game Junior Bobby Arens went to the mound and pitched another complete game. Unlike the other two complete games, Arens came out on the short end of this one. The Cubs were only able to put up 1 run in the 2-1 loss. Kimball had its chances but two base running errors in the late innings took scoring chances away. Kimball record: 4-6 CMC and overall. Lakers win in bottom of 7th Kimball Battled back all game long scoring 10 runs, but could never get the lead in the game against CMC opponent HLWW. After Going down 5-1 in the third inning, Kimball bounced back and scored four to to pull back in, the Cubs then matched run for run with the Lakers. The game would be tied in the seven and Kimball walked the lead off guy, which eventually scored the winning run on a base hit later in the inning. Kimball hurt itself all game long by committing six errors which lead to seven unearned runs for the Lakers.
