PAHCS welcomes Pamela Simons, MD, OB/GYN to medical staff



Paynesville Area Health Care System is pleased to announce the addition of Pamela D. Simons, MD, MBA to its medical provider group and the Chain of Lakes Medical Clinic of Cold Spring.

Dr. Simons, board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is a graduate of Albany Medical College, Albany, N.Y. She trained at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center before completing her residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center and earned her undergraduate degree, along with an MBA from Cornell University. Dr. Simons held esteemed positions in hospital administration, management consulting and comprehensive health planning. This varied health background is what motivated and led her to specialize in caring for women. Dr. Simons' clinical interests include adolescent reproductive medicine, pelvic pain, diabetes and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy. She finds her greatest satisfaction in empowering women to be active participants in their own health and that of their families.

Before selecting her career with Paynesville Area Health Care System, Dr. Simons worked as a traveling physician in a variety of settings including California, Colorado, New Hampshire and Oklahoma. She decided to join the medical group of Paynesville Area Health Care System because of the commitment to excellence and the strength of the medical team approach. "I am very excited to begin my practice here and offer my services to women of the area. I look forward to getting to know the patients and people of the surrounding communities," stated Dr. Simons.

Dr. Simons' interests include skiing and amateur competitive West Coast Swing dance. With her move to central Minnesota, she is looking forward to spending time horseback riding and sailing.
