Ralph Massmann of Luxemburg died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at his home. He was 82.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg with Reverend Marvin Enneking officiating. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Mary Hall.
Ralph C. Massmann was born May 7, 1928, in Rockville Township in Stearns County, to Henry and Mary (Eickhoff) Massmann. He married Jean Kath June 19, 1952, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Ralph owned and operated a dairy farm in the Luxemburg area all of his life.
Throughout his lifetime, Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing cards, trips to the casino, ice fishing and spearing. He especially loved the time he spent with his family.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Cindy in 2006; one granddaughter Mary; brother Eugene; sister Odelia; and one infant sister.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jean; children Kenneth (and Bonnie), Jerome (and Pam), Gordon, Francis (and Kathy), Paul (and Sue), Patricia (and Jeff) Yaroscak, and Donald (and JoAnn); 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Joseph, Edmund, Cyril, Marie, Felix, Daniel, and Catherine; and many nieces and nephews.
