The Kimball Cubs volleyball team traveled to Litchfield for their final match of the season Monday, Oct. 25, but left with a tough loss. The Cubs started the match slowly, getting down 7-1, before making a valiant comeback, only to lose the first set 22-25. In the second set, they came out on fire and won 25-10. It came down to the third set, and the Cubs were confident they could win, with consistent serving and good defensive play and attacking the ball on offense.
Again, the Cubs began cautiously, took the lead, lost the lead and eventually lost the set and match 13-15. It was a hard loss and a tough way to end a good season. The C-team finished 6-1 in the CMC and 10-4 overall. One of the best C-team seasons in a while. Way to go, team.
