Rheba Holm of Kimball died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 89.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Jon Albert officiating and visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Kimball Cemetery.
Rheba Mae Brown Hewitt Holm was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Kimball to Earl and Mary (VanNurden) Brown. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1939. She married Fillmore "Gabby" Hewitt Aug. 8, 1942; he preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1976. She married Delbert Holm June 9, 1978; he preceded her in death April 20, 2008.
Rheba worked as a waitress for many years at variolus restaurants. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Kimball American Legion Post 261 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, rug-making, playing bingo, and trips to the casino with her grandsons.
Rheba was preceded in death by her husbands; sisters Wanda Gillis and Janice Fischer; brother Neal Brown; and step-son Donald Holm.
She is survived by her two daughters Mary (and Garrett) Anfinson of Willmar, and Pam (and Todd) Fischer of Kimball; four grandchildren Shawn (and Monya) Kalkbrenner, Jeremy (and Stacy) Anfinson, Eric (and Kristi) Kalkbrenner, and Korin Anfinson; two great-granddaughters Haley and Kendra Kalkbrenner; sister Betty Jean (and Merle) Pickle of Eden Prairie; brother Cal (and Luella) Brown of Palisade; step-children Barb (and Dave) Winter, Dennis Holm, Bev Peterson, Becky Rogers, Dan Holm, and Dean (and Sue) Holm; 21 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
