New creative work at diversiCOM caught the eyes of judges in a recent national telecommunications marketing competition. The winning entries were the new Redneck Tech logo and a diversiCOM advertisement featuring a young girl in front of a computer.
"We have undergone an entire creative overhaul in the past year," said CEO Dave Del Zoppo, "which included updating our diversiCOM brand and developing a new sub-brand for our computer sales and services, the 'Redneck Techs.' Our in-house creative team is made up of Barb Ostrander, marketing manager, and Katie Niehaus, graphic designer. Both were new hires in 2009."
Every two years, The Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO), recognizes the best communications and marketing publications created for the rural telecommunications industry across the nation.Indy Awards are judged by industry experts in marketing and public relations, and materials produced during each two-year interval are eligible for competition.
"diversiCOM has been a terrific place for Katie and me to come together and get creative," said Ostrander. "The company supports our efforts with excellent technology and on-going training opportunities, allowing us to try new things. We've taken our marketing beyond traditional print and into Facebook, a new website, window graphics and watch for our blog featuring tips and reviews from our Redneck Techs."
