Judy Pauls of Watkins died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 48.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Rev. Richard Gross officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. Interment will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
Judy was born Jan. 13, 1962, in Paynesville to Alvin and Bernice (Caspers) Wachmann. She was united in marriage to Glenn Pauls Aug. 11, 1984, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. She had been employed at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring, the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, and she worked for 18 years in Customer Service at Fingerhut Corp. About seven years ago, Judy purchased Bud's Bar in Watkins, which she operated to the present time.
Judy was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. She was also a member of the Watkins Lioness Club and was co-chair of the Watkins Kraut and Wurst Parade Committee. She was a proud supporter of Iraqi Freedom. She enjoyed flowers, yard work and spending time with family and friends. Judy especially enjoyed her pet dogs.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother Bernice; and niece, Courtney.
She is survived by her husband Glenn of Watkins; children Trent (and Crista) Pauls of Belgrade, Adam (and Michelle Bolvin) of Watkins, Allison Pauls of Watkins; grandchildren Austin, Kylie, Shane and Kadon Pauls; father Alvin (and Marilyn Jansky) Wachmann of Richmond; grandmother Mathilda Wachmann of St. Martin; brothers and sister Ken Wachmann of St. Cloud, Sharon (and Kevin) Schmitz of Richmond, Joe (and Patty) Wachmann of St. Cloud; many nieces and nephews.
Music will be provided by Kathy Pauls. Casket bearers will be Zach Schmitz, Nathan Pauls, Corey Pauls, Chris Loch, Mike Loch, and Justin Schneider. Honorary casket bearers will be Brenda Carlson, Ellen Berg, Michelle Terwey, Nora Rohrbeck, Nickie Hennen, Katie Lemke, Vickie Schneider, and Shirley Loch.
Arrangements were by the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins.
