Charles "Chuck" Donabauer died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at his home in Richmond, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 52.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. Relatives and friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Sunday evening. Inurnment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery at a later date.
Chuck was born Sept. 6, 1958, in St. Cloud to Gilbert and Sharon (Ahearn) Donabauer. He married Anne Esplan Oct. 12, 1979, in St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
Chuck loved his family. He worked for Vanguard Utility, Cold Spring Brewery, and Cold Spring Granite. Chuck had a passion for the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed making others laugh and his sense of humor will be missed. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Anne; sons Steven (and Angie) of Fort Wayne, Ind., Jason and Shawn at home; mother Sharon of Watkins; Brothers and sisters Mike of Kingston, Donald (and Kelly) of Fair Haven, Cindy (and Chad) Almgren of Kimball; nieces and nephews Darrin (and Amy) Hall, Amanda (and Dustin) Orbeck, Brittany Donabauer, and Jason Anderson, Nick and Samantha Donabauer, Jerry (and Stacy) Almgren, Jessica and Joshua Almgren.
