The Red Cross Bloodmobile was in Kimball Wednesday, Aug. 4.
Our goal at Kimball was 60 units of blood. That goal was just three units short. There were 56 presenters with 57 units collected. Nine people were deferred for various reasons.
Congratulations to the following:
First-time donors were Alex Mies and Irene Pflueger
Ten-gallon pin for Dorothy Schmitz
Double red-cell donors were Gary Abbott, Larry Blum, Joe Lauermann, Bill Thell, and Jim Unterberger.
Thank you to all our donors for giving of your time and the precious gift of life.
Besides our donors, there are many others who need to be thanked.
¥ Tri-County News for excellent coverage.
¥ The Kimball community for use of the Kimball Area High School.
¥ Kathy from Community Ed., our janitor staff for setting up and cleanup and tear-down.
¥ Jerry for coming to our aid after the bloodmobile was over.
¥ Kimball American Legion Auxiliary Unit 261 for phone calls, paying for the postage of the reminder donor postcards, volunteering with registration, canteen, donating food and serving the Red Cross supper.
May God bless each and every one of you. As coordinator, I can say that it takes all of you to make this work.
