Angela Lobitz, 68



Angela Lobitz of Carlos, Minn. died Sunday, July 28, 2010, at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria. She was 68.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Rev. Wade Meyer officiating.

Angela M. Lobitz was born at home March 22, 1942, in Watkins to Edna and Herman von Lintel. She enjoyed attending St. Anthony's Grade School and Catholic Church. She graduated in 1960 from St. Boniface High School in Cold Spring, where she enjoyed playing in the high school band and taking the summer marching trips to area parades. Angela was married April 23, 1961, to Harlan Lobitz in Watertown, Minn. She and Harlan raised four children in various locations, including Florida, Iowa and Louisiana, as Harlan was transferred in his work.

Angela enjoyed visiting her children, gardening, art work and crafts, and getting together with friends and family.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Edna von Lintel.

She is survived by her husband Harlan Lobitz of Carlos; children Cheryl (and Walter Means) Lobitz of Lost Nation, Iowa, Bruce (and Karen) Lobitz of Columbia, S.C., Bradley (and Michele) Lobitz of San Mateo, Calif., and Sarah (and Christopher) Rizzuto of Hollister, Calif.; four grandchildren Thomas, Carl, Anne, and Valeria Lobitz; brothers Philip von Lintel of Cusick, Wash., James (and Pam) von Lintel of Oracle, Ariz., sisters Carrie (and Rick) Johnson of Fort Ripley, Minn., and Linda (and Alan) von Lintel Beniek of Cold Spring.
