The St. Cloud VA Medical Center is pleased to announce that they have received a 2010 Ford E350 Super Duty XL 12-Passenger Club Van from the MN Department of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). The van, part of DAV's partnership with the Ford Motor Company, was purchased by the DAV using a combination of grant money from the DAV's Columbia Trust and funds generated by the Old Glory Run, held annually in Cold Spring.
The van will be used at the medical center through the DAV Transportation Network which provides transportation for area veterans to attend programming at the VA's Adult Day Health Care program and to also assist veterans in keeping their medical appointments at the medical center. In the last year alone, the DAV transportation network at St. Cloud drove more than 160,000 miles delivering veterans to their appointments at the
St. Cloud VA. In doing so, volunteers logged 9,457 hours driving the DAV vans.
