Kimball Food Shelf says thanks

March is known in Minnesota as food shelf month, asking for communities to step up and help out. This March was no different, and once again our local community has stepped up. The Kimball Area Food Shelf would like to sincerely thank the generous people of our surrounding area, which includes Kimball, Watkins, Fairhaven, and South Haven, for the bighearted donations of food and money throughout this past March. Because of your overwhelming kindness we have received $5,139.79 dollars and approximately 2,500 pounds of food to date. We are so blessed!

Your continued support to the Kimball Area Food Shelf, Inc. helps to keep us financially sound, and will allow us to continue to help those who are in need in our local communities.

The Allen Feinstein Foundation, from Rhode Island, donates one million dollars that is distributed to the different food shelves in the United States. Any food shelf that participates in his challenge each year can receive part of this donation simply by reporting to him how many pounds of food and how much money we raised in the months of March and April. This means, all donations received during the months of March and April help us out in more ways than one. So, if you were unable to give in March, but would still like to help out and have your donation count for more, you can still donate food and money during the month of April.

March and April are important months for the food shelf, however, we are always in need of your generosity. It is not too late to make a difference. You can send any donations to the Kimball Area Food Shelf, Inc., or give through your churches. Thank you, once again, for all you have given, and all you continue to do for the Kimball Area Food Shelf Inc.
