Ed and Rose Borman have set aside land for the Kimball Community Gardens. It's located south of Kimball off Willow Creek Road, County Road 150.
The land will be prepared for spring planting by their percheron draft horses, Matt and Doc.
Plots are $25. Smaller plots are also available. If you are interested in a 50 foot by 50 foot garden plot, or helping with the youth garden plot, contact Ed or Rose Borman at (320) 398-5552.
Each gardener, family, or group is responsible for their own plot and will decide what to plant, keep the plot weeded, and harvest their own crops. Gardens may consist of flowers, vegetables, or a combination of the two.
Water will be available, but you will need to provide your own gardening tools.
New this year is a cutting bed. Cut your own flowers for $5 a bunch. Fresh eggs are also for sale.
