The Ostmark Women of the ELCA have invited the Looney Lutherans to their Spring Luncheon Event slated for Saturday, May 1. This trio of wacky women is a team of professional actresses that has come together in a fun and interactive, family-friendly show.
The characters they play, Ginger, Bella and Lois, are on tour promoting their new cookbook: Use Your Food. A guide to healthy living inside and out, from our kitchen to yours Eat like a Lutheran! Using music and comedy, these gals share some age-old wisdom for living a long and healthy life, the Lutheran way.
The talented women in the Looney Lutheran group have been performing for years as actresses, singers and improvisers in the Twin Cities and across the country, and all have been cast members of the popular Church Basement Ladies productions presented at the Plymouth Playhouse over recent years. As the Looney Lutherans they are in high demand across the country and appeared at the Nebraska Area ELCA Synod Convention last year. "But," they say, "you don't have to be Lutheran to love 'em!"
The Ostmark event will begin with a luncheon at 12 noon followed by the Looney Lutheran program. The afternoon will end at approximately 2 p.m. with the presentation of door prizes.
Tickets for this event are $12 in advance and may be purchased at the Thrivent office in Litchfield, at Gohmann's Foods in Kimball, or from Ostmark WELCA members. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $15.
