William "Bill" Kinney of Cold Spring, formerly of the St. Cloud area, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. He was 72.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins with Kathleen Sogge officiating. Interment will be private.
William "Bill" W. Kinney was born Sept. 19, 1937, in Minneapolis to George and Mildred Kinney. He lived in Minneapolis and had been employed with Honeywell and with Toro Equipment. After retirement he lived in the St. Cloud area and worked at Sam's Club and at Cub Foods. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, and playing cribbage. He also enjoyed watching CNN and The History Channel on television. Bill was a supporter of the Humane Society and was fond of black Laborador dogs, especially his dog "Duke."
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Don.
He is survived by his children Kathy Kinney of Washington, Patrick Kinney of Minnetonka, Renae (and Dean) Stewart of Watkins, Jen Gertken of Watkins, Nicholas (and Kate) Kinney of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and sisters Bonnie and Shirley.
Arrangements were by the Ertl Funeral Home of Watkins. Memorials are preferred.
