Public hearings set for the Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance update
Stearns County has been in the process of updating the Land Use and Zoning Ordinance for the last two years. The next step in the process is to hold public hearings to get input from our citizens.
Some of the proposed changes to the Land Use and Zoning Ordinance include:
Agricultural Conservation Design Overlay district to allow for more development flexibility in the Agriculture-40 zoning district
Natural Resources Conservation Design Overlay district
Transfer of Development Rights program
Lot size in the Agriculture-40 zoning district
Commercial kennels standards including limiting the maximum number of animals to 40
There will be three public hearings where the public will have the chance to give their thoughts on the ordinance:
Tuesday, April 6, 7-9 p.m., Melrose City Center, 225 East 1st St. N.
Monday, April 12, 7-9 p.m., Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park.
Tuesday, April 20, 10:05 a.m., Stearns County Administration Center, Board Room, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud.
