Robert "Dob" Borman of Bloomington died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. He was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball with Pastor Luke C. Nelson officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery.
Robert Jessmer "Dob" Borman was born Jan. 1, 1937, to Peter and Eva (Boggs) Borman. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1954, and then attended St. Cloud State University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Onan Generator Corporation, and then for Holiday Stores. He was a member of Union Local #653, and heenjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and gospel music.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sister Alyce McKinnon, and brother Jack Borman.
He is survived by his wife Muriel of Bloomington, step-daughter Lynn (and Richard) Christopherson of Eagan, step-son Donald Berry of Rosemount; step-grandson Jeff (and Tanya) Watkins of Fargo, and brother Jerry (and Doris) Borman of Morton.
