St. Cloud State University Department of Music announced a series of concerts and workshops from March 6 - 8, in a variety of venues throughout the St. Cloud area.
Wind Ensemble and Windfest Symphony 7 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Calvary Worship Center, 1200 Roosevelt Rd. in St. Cloud
Wind Ensemble and Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Bands 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Performing Arts Center, 1833 Osauka Road NE in Sauk Rapids
Wind Ensemble and Bethel University and Participating High School Bands 7 p.m. Monday, March 8, in Benson Great Hall at Bethel University
Rik Hanson, conductor, will lead the ensemble and symphony as well as hold clinics for Owatonna and St. Anthony Village High School Bands at 3 p.m. Monday, March 8, in Benson Great Hall on the campus of Bethel University.
Tickets for the concerts are $12 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and free admission to students with ID. Admission is also free for children under 12. Tickets are available at the door.
St. Cloud State's Department of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music and awards more than $50,000 in scholarships to students annually. Its 26 faculty members teach and represent a variety of disciplines including music education, history, theory, composition, jazz, pedagogy, music technology, conducting, ethnomusicology and performance.
