Thursday, Feb. 18, Kimball played at Rockford to take on the Rockets in conference play. Rockford came into the game second in the conference standings, and proved why they belong there by jumping out to an early lead against the Cubs. Kimball as a team could not keep up with Rockford's fast-breaking style, and had a few too many turnovers to keep the game close. Despite the effort, the Cubs would fall by a final score of 73-38 to Rockford. Kimball's highlights started with sophomore Liz Kastanek leading with eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Sophmore Rachel Arnold finished with 7 points and four rebounds while senior Tesslynn Callander had five points and three assists. Junior
Megan Garding had five points and 11 rebounds, sophomore Mandy Wittenberg scored five points and pulled down seven boards. Junior Shannon Donnay and sophomore Brooke Merten had 3 points each and junior Klarissa Eisenbrun had two points to round out the Kimball scoring line. With the loss, Kimball's record falls to 11-11 on the season, with two conference games remaining next week, Pierz at home, Feb. 23, and at B-B-E, Feb. 26. Go Big Blue!
