Girl Scout troop 174 attended a teen-leader retreat and award recognition at the Brainerd Lakes Lodge last weekend. This was in recognition of the Bronze award through Girls Scouts, which they received in the spring. This resulted after they completed a project for the Humane Society of making cat and dog blankets, and collecting pet supplies to donate. The Bronze award is the highest honor they can achieve at this age group, and now they have great ideas for their Silver award. Much thanks goes to Images by Marguerite, Chickadee Tree and AmericInn of Annandale for their time spent with the girls on the related patches they earned to receive this award. Thanks to the many community members who support scouting.
