KES Student Government kicks off annual food drive

Last Friday, Jan. 29, at Kimball Elementary School, the Student Government held a Food Drive Kickoff. Some students and local business members volunteered in this kickoff. The kids and business members competed in relays and competitions. Everyone had a great time.

Our theme this year is "Don't Clown Around, Donate Now." The Drive will take in various amounts of items. The most needed are: dish soap, laundry soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, personal items, food, and cleaning supplies.

Some foods are instant potatoes, cereal, bottled water, vegetables, canned fruit, and pasta of any type. All of the food will benefit the Kimball Area Food Shelf.

If you have questions, call (320) 398-2211, and ask for Mary Mathies, or at the school, Paulette Hauge, or Melissa Herrington at KES, phone number (320) 398-5425.
