ST CLOUD, Minn. (1/26/2010) -- The 2010 Dairy Management Workshops will be held on February 2 at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud; February 3 at the Holiday Inn in New Ulm; and February 4 at the International Event Center in Rochester. This power packed program contains something for everyone with any involvement in the dairy industry.
Dr. Ken Bailey, FC Stone, will discuss what we have learned from a volatile dairy market as well as marketing strategies that have worked and others that have failed. Mike Hutjens, University of Illinois, will share his perspective of the changes that have taken place over the past 30 years and what might be ahead for dairy producers. Mike will also present information on feeding lessons learned in the down market. Dr. Marcia Endres, University of Minnesota, will present the latest look at animal welfare legislation and the dairy industries initiatives to ensure good animal well being. Lookout Ridge Consulting will present information on successfully transitioning the farm.
This program is a partnership between University of Minnesota Extension, Minnesota Milk Producers Association and industry sponsors.
