American Education Week was Nov. 15-21. Activities included the annual teacher appreciation tea at the Kimball Legion.
Members of the Minnesota Timberwolves Youth Coaching staff held a basketball clinic at KES and KAHS for students in grades 1-12; 154 students participated.
Will Weaver was the Kimball Friends of the Library guest of their annual Dinner with an Author Nov. 20 at Generations Ballroom.
In late November, H1N1 vaccinations were made available to some KES students. Additional vaccinations have not yet been scheduled.
An annual tradition, first-graders at Kimball Elementary School held their "first" Thanksgiving, with applesauce they made themselves, popcorn, apple juice, and muffins. They dressed as either Pilgrims or Indians, with a few "confused" costumes somewhere in-between.
Amy Notch and Tabitha Mortenson were named 2009 Central MN Conference Coaches of the Year for volleyball. Their Kimball team finished the season with a 21-7 record.
