Kimball Community Playhouse encourages everyone to attend their chili cook-off from 4 to 8 p.m.this Saturday, Jan. 16, at the new St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball. The entrance fee for tasters is a great dinner value of $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students, and that includes a can of pop and a cookie. There are still a couple of spots open for cooks to enter. The entrance fee for cooks is $15 and KCP is requesting cooks provide three gallons of chili. This event would be a great promotional opportunity for local business and community groups to highlight their organization while serving up a little fun.
Judges for the event include Christ Wolf from 98 Country, Jim Frilstad, the Kimball Chief of Police, Joe Krippner, a Kimball City Council member, and Jean Matua from the Tri-County News who will be using her creative skills to judge booths.
