KES students and staff celebrated Read Across America March 2.

The KAHS National Honor Society held a fundraiser spaghetti dinner March 5.

Kimball Lions held a fish fry March 6.

Kimball Community Playhouse presented the Agatha Christy mystery "And Then There Were None" at their winter dinner theater March 7 and 8.

Township elections were held March 10.

In an accident just north of Kimball, a semi truck jacknifed on icy roads striking a van; Glenn Imholte, the van driver, died at the scene.

Marty (a.k.a. Pearl Lake) held their first St. Patrick's Day parade March 14.

Girl Scout Troop 83 slept with the sharks March 14, at the aquarium in Mall of America, that is.

Heritage House of Kimball announced plans for expansion at a March 16 Kimball city council meeting. (Ground-breaking has been delayed, but the project is still anticipated.)

Volunteers from the Kimball Lions helped tear out the false ceilings March 23 in Kimball City Hall, making way for interior renovations that were completed in time for Kimball Days in August.

Employees of Triple R Grill & Bar in Kimball raised $2,060 for Camp Amanda-Minnesota during 2008.

March 16 was the KAHS band concert.

Both the Kingston Legion and Kimball Legion held fish fry events March 20.

The Kimball Area High School band went on tour to Chicago from March 20-23.

Bobbe Teigen took over as CEO of Paynesville Area Health Care System March 23.

Kimball native Dr. Chad Spaulding joined Dr. Michael Marty at Kimbal Chiropractic this month.

Kimball Fireman's Ball was March 27 at Generations Ballroom.

Kimball United Methodist Church members sewed 125 school bags for students in Baldwin, Louisiana, as a mission project.

The Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Kimball Business & Community Expo March 28 at KAHS.

diversiCOM/Melrose Telephone Co. and employees donated nearly $1,200 to food shelves in their service area, including Kimball and Eden Valley.
