After their dominating win Friday night, the wrestlers left town at 6:15 a.m., and headed to Rush City for an individual tournament. This was our first year in the tournament, so we did not know what to expect. However, the guys came out on fire and had 13 guys advance after the first round. As the day went on the cubs stayed hot, going into the final round, the Cubs had a 17-point lead on Mille Lacs the next closest team. In the final round the Cubs had nine guys going for the title and were able to bring home seven of them. Marcus Hamer, Tyler Kuechle, Jordan Joseph, Caramon Hansen, Mitch Pramann, Travis Schiefelbein, and Alex Thurber all took home first. Tanner Mills lost a very exciting match to Matt Hickerson from Ogilvie who is currently ranked fifth in state 8-7. David Joseph also put together a fun tournament just coming up short losing in the finals to David Booth from Crosby-Ironton currently ranked eighth in state.
