United Way of Central Minnesota, in partnership with AccountAbility Minnesota, will host a free educational tax session from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. on December 16, 2009 at the St. Cloud Public Library.
The session is open to the public and will provide information on Earned Income Tax Credit, individual and family credits, local free tax preparation sites, the new express refund loan and savings program, and other financial resources available year round for lower income individuals and families. Please call United Way at (320) 252-0227 to register. Deadline for registrations is noon on Tuesday, December 15.
Free tax sites will be available this tax season through AccountAbility Minnesota for individuals that earn less than $30,000 or families that earn less $50,000 a year. For more information on tax site locations and times, contact United Way 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 or 1-800-543-7709.
