At 2:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, Stearns County deputies were dispatched to an assault that occurred on Highway 15 at the intersection of Dellwood Road in Maine Prairie Township. The complaintant said that two adult Hispanic males were assaulting a third Hispanic male with a small souvenir baseball bat. The two assailants had left the scene, continuing south on Highway 15. Deputies, along with Kimball Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance, responded to the scene. Other deputies and state patrol officers continued the search for the suspect vehicle - a dark in color van with a partial license plate given. Deputies located the suspect vehicle and suspects in the city of Kimball, south of the crime scene. The two suspects, identified as Job Villanzeza, 36, and Hermenegildo Cruz-Hernandez, 29, both with unknown addresses, were taken into custody. The victim, Sergio Patron Zuniga, 34 of St. Cloud, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross ambulance for treatment of injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
