Wednesday accident didn't stop mail delivery

Kimball postal carrier Jason Cleveland was out delivering mail on what was an otherwise decent winter morning. At the corner of 350th Street and 732nd Avenue, south of Kimball, his pickup truck slid through an icy intersection and was struck by a car being driven by 18-year-old Zach Hedlund. Hedlund and his passenger, younger brother Jesse, were on their way to school at the time of the collision, at around 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Cleveland returned to the Post Office in Kimball to re-sort the mail, and Postmaster Scott Lindemann completed Cleveland's route. The accident was deemed to be weather-related and no citations were issued.
