The A.W.A.K.E. support group and health fair will run from 6:30-8 p.m., Sept. 16, in the Windfeldt room at the CentraCare Health Plaza. Keith Leavell, M.D., pulmonary and sleep medicine physician with CentraCare Clinic, will discuss circadian rhythm sleep disorders. People with a circadian rhythm sleep disorder have a persistent or recurrent pattern of sleep disturbance because of an alteration of their timekeeping system or a misalignment between a person's own circadian rhythm and outside influences. Home care companies also will be available to present new CPAP/BIPAP products and answer questions. People diagnosed with a sleeping disorder are invited to join us at our A.W.A.K.E. Support Group meetings. (A.W.A.K.E.: Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic). Meetings take place the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November.
