The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) announces the first annual Men's Northern National Class "C" Slow Pitch Tournament, an event that will reach players from all across the northern states. The tournament will be held
Aug. 28-Sept. 1 in north Moorhead at Centennial Field. The Slow Pitch Tournament is expected to attract more than 2,000 players,
coaches and fans from across the Upper Midwest. ASA is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, Okla., and has
become one of the nation's largest and fastest growing sports organizations. ASA has grown from a few hundred teams in the early days to more than 250,000 teams today. The tournament will be hosted by The Red River Valley Softball Association in cooperation with the City of Moorhead, the Moorhead Parks and Recreation Department and the Fargo-Moorhead Convention & Visitors Bureau.
