Twenty years ago a new sound exploded onto the Central Minnesota music scene. It was the sound of the CRAYONS. The title song, Take Out Your Crayons was an instant local hit and served as the title song for an album of original music written and composed by Juliana Howard, who enlisted 18 Sts. Peter & Paul School children in St. Cloud to bring her songs to life.
Howard was assisted along the way by local recording star, Bobby Vee, who provided his talent, experience, and recording studio for the production of the albums. The music is sold through World Library Publications in Chicago. All former CRAYONS singers and dancers are now being summoned to a 20-year reunion Saturday, Aug. 23, from 7-10:30 p.m. at the Red Carpet Keller Bar in downtown St. Cloud. The group is also invited to sing at the 9 a.m. Mass at St. Paul's Church Aug. 24. For more information, go to
